A’shanti F. Gholar is one of today’s most influential leaders at the intersection of racial equity, gender equity, and politics. She was named by She the People as one of “20 Women of Color in Politics to Watch” who will play an impactful role in the 2020 elections and beyond.

She currently serves as the President and CEO of Emerge, the nation’s largest network of women elected officials and candidates, and is the founder of the award-winning The Brown Girls Guide to Politics.

A’shanti’s contributions have not gone unnoticed. Her influence has been featured in CQ Roll Call Magazine, and she has been named a top woman of color in policy by Walker’s Legacy. Her dedication to progressive activism has been recognized with the Changemaker Award from African American Women in Business Careers and the Transformational Leader Award from GAIN Power.
